Islamabad—Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, National Council of Social Welfare has said that trainings give critical knowledge and confidence to effectively manage an emergency without fear or confusion and thus saves lives.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik said this while addressing a seminar titled “Importance of First Aid in National Life and its Social Impacts” on Tuesday organized by National Council of Social Welfare.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, chaired the seminar while Michael Myers, Cooperation Coordinator, ICRC was the chief guest. Representatives of Civil Society, NGOs, Students, Journalists, Intellectuals, officials of different departments of CA&D Division and other stakeholders attended the seminar.
Demonstration on First Aid was given by Rescue 1122 team under the leadership of Dr. Tanseer Asghar. Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik said that First-Aid training was another initiative of the National Council of Social Welfare to disseminate information and raise awareness for provision of First Aid in the advent of any incidence or natural calamity.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik also appreciated the quality of knowledge imparted by Rescue 1122 team.
