Traffic jams witnessed in major areas on Eid

Karachi—Traffic jams were witnessed in different cities of the country on Thursday as people thronged to parks, beaches and hill station for recreation.
In Karachi, traffic jams were witnessed at many places and at other it moved at a slow as long queues of vehicles were seen at Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Alladin Park, Rashid Minhas Road, Jahangir Road, Teen Hatti, Lasbela Ghareebabad, Karimabad, Ayesha Manzil, Hassan Square, Abul Hassan Isphahani Road, NIPA Chowrangi, Nagan Chowrangi and Drig Road areas of the metropolis.
Thousands of people thronged to Sea View area due to which a massive traffic jam took place.
Fuel tanks in many vehicles ran empty while waiting for traffic jams to clear. The traffic police was also not seen anywhere.
A massive traffic jam took place in Murree on Thursday and Friday due to which citizens, wishing to travel to Giliyat, Ayubia and Nathia Gali, for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr were stranded.
“More than 50,000 vehicles entered Murree on Thursday due to which the traffic jam took place,” police sources said.
Reports stated that all hotels in Murree have been booked as well.
Traffic jams were witnessed in many areas of Lahore particularly on roads leading to Minar-e-Pakistan and other picnic spots.
