Tractor sales in Pakistan have witnessed a significant annual increase during the first four months of the current financial year, driven by strong demand from the agricultural sector.
According to data from the All Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (APAMA), a total of 7,105 units of AGTL tractors and 10,191 units of MTL tractors were sold in the country between July and October 2023. These figures represent a 56% and 117% increase, respectively, compared to the same period in the previous financial year. The robust growth in tractor sales is attributed to several factors, including favorable weather conditions, improved agricultural productivity, and government initiatives aimed at promoting mechanization in the farming sector.—INP
