Toxic chemical

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical produced in large quantities for use primarily in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Epoxy resigns are group of synthetic resins used to make plastics like bottles and food storage things.
Bisphenol A can leach into food from the protective internal epoxy resin coatings of canned foods and from consumer products such as polycarbonate tableware, food storage containers, water bottles and baby bottles. The degree to which BPA leaches from polycarbonate bottles into liquid may depend more on the temperature of the liquid or bottle than the age of the container. BPAis a hormone mimicking chemical that has been linked to many side effects ranging from hormonal abnormalities to possibly even cancer.
BPA is recognized as the hormone estrogen by the body that is primarily a female sex hormone. BPA can also be found in breast milk. It is very serious issue so it’s our responsibility to take remedial steps: (i) Don’t’ use microwave polycarbonate plastic food containers because due to high temperature plastic breaks down and mixes in food, (ii) Use less canned foods, (iii) Use porcelain or stainless steel glass/urn particularly for hot food or liquids and (iv) Use baby bottles that are BPA free.
