Thunderstorm, rain likely at isolated places

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday forecast rain-thunderstorm for isolated places of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during the next 24 hours. According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over north Balochistan. A trough of westerly wave was present over northern part of Balochistan and adjoining areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
The met office revealed that rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Multan, Sargodha, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar divisions, FATA Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Mainly hot and humid weather is likely in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
The Bahawalpur Met Office has a forecast a dry and hot weather for Bahawalpur during next 24 hours. On Thursday, highest maximum temperature 43 Centigrade and lowest minimum temperature 31 Centigrade were recorded in the city.—APP
