Thunderstorm, rain likely at up-country isolated places

Islamabad—Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of upper areas of the country during the next 24 hours however, hot and dry weather to prevail in other parts of the country.
Rainfall is forecast in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during this time duration. Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. However, a shallow westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts of the country on Tuesday and likely to persist during next 24-48 hours, an official of met office told APP.
In last 24 hours weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. Maximum temperatures recorded on Monday, Shaheed Benazirabad and Sukkur remained 44øC, Rohri 43øC, Nokkundi, Noorpur Thal, R.Y Khan, Padidan, Dadu, Larkana, Moenjodaro, Sibbi 42øC. The Karachi Met Office on Monday forecast mostly sunny weather in the metropolis during the next 24 hours.—APP
