Thunderstorm, rain likely

Islamabad—Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Sindh and Gilgit Baltistan in next 24 hours, while hot and dry weather is likely in other parts of the country.
Met office forecast chances of rainfall in Sukkar, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions while at a few places of Karachi division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Weak seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas. A shallow westerly trough is affecting northern parts of the country. Monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in south-eastern parts of the country from Sunday and likely to affect Sindh for next four days, an official of Met office told APP.
Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, in last 24 hours whereas to rainfall reported from any area during this time span. Meanwhile, the Multan Met office has forecast dry weather for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours.
On Sunday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 38.4 degree centigrade and 27.7 degree centigrade respectively. The humidity was recorded 65 per cent at 8 am and 42 per cent at 5 pm, source added.—APP
