Karachi—The Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) Karachi is establishing three research centres, said Dr. Asim Imdad Wagan, the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Engineering, of the institution, here on Sunday.
Addressing a pre-admission seminar held at the university’s auditorium, he informed that the research centers, which are under development, are Centre for Research in Ubiquitous, Center for Research in Machine Learning and Center for Research in Renewable Energy.
He further said that the MAJU will also introduce data center development training with industry collaboration in near future.
He said research activities and highly qualified and experienced faculty members are the basic factors to judge a good university. Besides encouraging research activities, the institution is also developing research centers to provide a better environment for research, he added.
The seminar was largely attended by students and their parents. Associate Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Shujaat Mubarak, heads of departments, Deputy Director, ORIC and other senior faculty members were also present.
