Foreign collaboration is supporting TEVTA to strength TVET system across the province of the Punjab because future of our country is entirely connected with it. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, JICA, GIZ, Turk Organizations and various British Companies are cooperating to promote technical education and vocational training (TVET) system.
Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh was addressing the officers in a meeting here yesterday at TEVTA Secretariat. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, TEVTA Officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Amir Aziz, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Maqsood Ahmad, Aisha Qazi, Rao Rashid, Uzma Nadia, Sarfraz Anwar and other officers were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that wide spread of TVET system in the province is the top priority of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and well considered measures are being taken according to his vision.
The dream of progress of province of the Punjab cannot be realized without provision of skilled workforce. TEVTA is imparting free training in hospitality, driving, food and beverages, construction, micro soft I.T. courses, Chinese language and other important sectors as trained manpower is urgently required at national and international level.
Chairperson TEVTA further said that TEVTA is also offering free training in employable trades to unemployed youth of the backward areas because they can also play their role for the economic growth of the country.
He further said that foreign donor agencies have appreciated the efforts of TEVTA for playing active role to reduce unemployment and also providing technical assistance for successful completion of various programs being offered by TEVTA.
