Tevta starting new short courses in automobile sector

Lahore—Chairperson Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that demand driven new short courses in Automobile Sector will be started soon. CNC Machining, High Pressure Die-Casting, Sheet Metal Works and Millwright will be initiated with the collaboration of Ravi Autos Sundar Pvt. Ltd.
He was addressing at an MoU ceremony which was signed by Chairperson Tevta Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and Chief Executive Officer Ravi Autos Sundar Pvt. Ltd Haroon Arshad here yesterday at Tevta Secretariat. Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi. Tevta Officers Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Mirza Umer Farooq, Ayesha Qazi, Muhammad Maqsood, Uzma Nadia, Sarfraz Anwar and other were also present on this occasion.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that Tevta will design, provide curricula and teaching learning resources for the trainings. Tevta with the collaboration of Ravi Autos will arrange trainees to get training in these courses. Punjab Board of Technical Education will conduct the examination of enrolled students in the joint training program.
Collaboration will also be made with Ravi Autos Sundar Pvt. Ltd for ensuring the placement of trainees for on-the-job training and employment opportunity as per the company capacity. Tevta will also arrange seminars, workshops and conferences for awareness of industry and academia on TVET sector development in Pakistan.
Chief Executive Officer Ravi Autos Sundar Pvt. Ltd Haroon Arshad in his address said that we will facilitate in designing and developing the curricula. Requisite material and equipment will also be provided to Tevta Institutes.
Our organization will also collaborate in nominating and providing experts / master trainers / guest speakers/ assessors / technical assistance etc. to Tevta for improving TVET sector in Pakistan. Tevta graduates will also be provided job opportunities.
