Terrorist killed, kidnapped intelligence officer rescued

Lahore—Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police gunned down a terrorist and rescued an abducted intelligence agency officer from Lahore’s Kahina area.
According to media reports, the terrorists opened fire at the law enforcement personnel as they raided the hideout of the terrorists. A shootout took place between the CIA police and terrorists in which a saboteur, identified as Khurram Latif, was killed.
Two of Latif’s accomplices managed to flee from the scene. CIA police said that intelligence agency officer Akbar Zaman, who was abducted two years ago, was rescued during the raid.
It was said that the abducted official was tied in chains. Kalashnikovs, hand grenades and other weapons were recovered from the hideout of the terrorists.
