Terrorism eradicated, country paved on way of progress: PM Abbasi


KOHAT : Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that due to commitment of the government and the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces terrorism has been completely eradicated from Pakistan.

Addressing a public convention in Kohat on Saturday, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while referring to Army Public School (APS) attack, said that it has been three years since the unfortunate incident took place in the provincial capital when terrorists attacked a school full of children.

He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has fulfilled its promises made to countrymen and today terrorism and extremism have been eradicated from the country.

Prime Minister Abbasi said that mosques are safe, the entire country is safe today and the ruling party has continued to serve the nation by ending the electricity and gas crisis.

Speaking about the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), he said that ‘some people’ are trying to politicize the issue.

“Efforts are being made to politicize the issue but PML-N has always put Pakistan first and tried to unite people,” he said. “It should be understood that we are going ahead and trying to abolish a hundred-years-old system.”

He said that everyone wants FATA to become part of Pakistan and the issue has the support of the National Assembly, Senate, and the public and Inshallah the PML-N will resolve this issue.

“Nobody appreciates the politics of slandering and mudslinging,” he said. “Politics should be based on serving the nation.”

He continued to say that his party will participate in elections on the basis of its performance and the people will vote for the rightful candidate.

The Prime Minister was in Kohat for the ground-breaking ceremony of the dualization of the 128-km Sarai Gambila-Kohat Road and 73-km Pindigheb-Kohat road.
