Ten dead, over dozen injured in road mishaps

At least ten people died and about two dozen others were injured in separate road mishaps in various cities of Punjab on Sunday. Police said that the first accident took place at Rijana Road in Samundri area of Faisalabad where an over speeding passenger bus collided with a hiace. Four people died on the spot in the accident while two others sustained wounds.
The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Samundri. An over speeding truck while trying to save a motorcyclist rammed into a hotel by roadside in main Burewala city. Two motorcyclists, hotel owner among four people died in the accident while six others were injured who were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Burewala. Meanwhile, two people died and more than a dozen others were injured in separate road mishaps in various cities of Punjab.
The injured were shifted to different hospitals of respective cities and the police after registering separate cases at concerned police stations started the investigation.—INP
