TDAP focusing on growth of trade, investment

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is endeavoring to help and facilitate exporters of all the product sectors with the aim to capitalize their potential for the growth of trade and investment in the country.
Mian Riaz Ahmed, Director General Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) stated this while talking to Secretary General Meat Association Hasan Raza in a meeting held here Tuesday at TDAP Lahore office.
Hasan Raza informed the DG about the various concerns being faced by the Association. Quoting Quarantine department, Mr Hasan said that meat exports from Pakistan was US $ 250 million last year and it could be doubled if it start exporting to China. He further apprised the DG that the meat exporters have to comply with the international standards and for that purpose, foreign inspectors visits Pakistan for certifying meat.
At present, meat from Pakistan is being exported to UAE, he added The DG asked Hasan Raza to forward their recommendations to his office and assured Meat Association for TDAP support and assured to address their issues.
“We at TDAP will continue support for the cause of promotion of trade sector in the country and in that connection, all out efforts are underway to help the industry, the DG asserted and apprised Hasan Raza about the main features of Expo Pakistan 2017 which will provide an equal opportunity to the buyers and sellers to learn and materialize from each other’s experiences. The DG hoped that under the umbrella of TDAP, business community will gain guidance and benefits in enhancing their businesses. DG TDAP Lahore was assisted by Director TDAP Muhammad Irfan and other officers.
