Karachi—Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, Wednesday has said that the Sindh Government will consider seriously on giving relief to the private schools if they make commitment to provide relief to the parents in fees and other charges as well.
Renowned chain of schools are supposed to announce reasonable fee structures for middle class people so that their children may get better education facilities, he said. This he said while talking to a delegation of Private Schools Management at his office, said a statement.
Private Schools Registrar Rafia Mallah and Deputy Director Akhlaque Ahmed also attended the meeting.
He asked Private Schools Management to provide suggestions regarding service and fee structures and redefine rules and regulations regarding working of private schools. The minister further asked them to coordinate with the public sector schools for enhancement of education facilities there.Dahar added, “Government believes in dialogue and it will address all real issues of private schools but will not allow anyone to create problems for the parents and the students as well.”
He said that the Education Department have a mechanism to monitor the private educational institutions and making the system more effective.
The Minister also took notice of 23 colleges of Karachi region which produced zero results in pre-medical examinations and directed DG colleges to submit a report in this regard and take action against the Principals of those colleges.
