Task Force constituted to check price hike in Punjab

On special directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, the provincial government has constituted the Task Force on Price Control to tackle/check issues pertaining to price hike in the province.
According to the notification issued here on Tuesday, Advisor to Chief Minister on Political Affairs Muhammad Akram Chaudhry will be the convener whereas Minister for Agriculture Nauman Langrial, Minister for Food Sami Ullah Chaudhry, Minister for Finance Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, Additional Chief Secretary Home, Secretary Food, Transport, Industries, Agriculture and Local Government will be the members.
Besides, Divisional Commissioners, Additional IGP Operations Punjab, Additional IGP Special Branch will also be the members of the task force.
Muhammad Akram Chaudhry said that the Task Force will undertake a comprehensive review of the existing price control mechanism and make recommendations for improving the existing price control regime in the province and at district level.
He further said that the Task Force will also submit a monthly report to the Chief Minister on activities pertaining to price control in the province.
