Supremacy of law sine qua non for development

Hafizabad—Speakers at the seminar held here to commemorate the 150thAnniversary of the Lahore High Court have stressed the need to ensure dispensation of justice to the oppressed and suppressed segment of the society.
District and Sessions Judge Hafizabad Ashtar Abbas, DCO Muhammad Ali Randhawa, DPO Dr. Ghias Gull, Prof. Fehmida Nawaz, DBA President Farooq Khokhar, Retired District and Sessions Judges belonging to Hafizabad Arshad Javed Mir, Muhammad Irshad Sipra and scores of civil and judicial officers said that implementation of law without any discrimination can eliminate corruption, nepotism, favouritism and other social evils from the society. Supremacy of law and constitution were ‘sine qua non’ for the development of the country and for the provision of dispensation of justice.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Jalalpur Bhattian police have booked Allama Pir Syed Muhammad Irfan Shah Mashhadi Central Amir of Jamaat Ahle-e-Sunnat Pakistan and 19 others Under Section 16 MPO & 153 PPCand arrested him and three others.
According to police source, entry of Mashhadi was banned for two months in the district but he, in violation of ban, Allama Mashadi visited Jalalpur Bhattian and addressed a gathering.
