Managing Director Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) Amir Ejaz Wednesday said that Punjab government has warned poor quality book sellers and publishers of strict action under Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board Act 2015.
In a statement he said citizens are informed specially parents, students and teachers to be aware of fake Punjab textbook publishers who are printing duplicate books of poor quality and using inferior quality paper and covers.
Amir said PCTB has pasted a square shaped sticker on cover page of the text book to control publishing of fake books. The sticker turns green from orange on rubbing and the white strip on the barcode has PCTB hidden under it which is visible on rubbing with a coin. This helps in identification of genuine books published by PCTB and it must be ensured while buying textbooks. Similarly all book sellers are warned to maintain proper record of their purchase and sale of books.—APP
