The students of Bajaur Agency have expressed grave concern over the arrest of Fata Students Organization (FSO) central president Shaukat Aziz by the authorities and demanded his immediate release.
They made the demand during a meeting held here on Sunday with Fata Students Organization senior leader Misbahuddin in the chair.
The participants showed great concern over the arrest of Fata Students Organizations central president Shaukat Aziz by the authorities in Peshawar under 3 MPO (Maintenance of Public Order few days ago.
Addressing the meeting, Fata Students Organization (FSO) senior leader Misbahuddin said that arrest of Mr Aziz under the 3 MPO was condemnable as he was a peaceful citizen and did not involved in any activities which could create law and order situation for the administration.
He said that arrest of Mr Aziz without any solid reason have proved that the bureaucracy had planned to silence the voices of students against the Frontier Crimes Regulation in the tribal areas.
Misbahuddin claimed that Mr Aziz have done no sin, but only raised voice against the Frontier Crimes Regulation and extension of fundamental rights to the people of tribal areas. The participants said that such action by the officials would not weaken their mission to replace the Frontier Crimes Regulation with country regular laws in the tribal areas.
They also accused the PTI lead provincial government for arresting their colleague without any reasons, adding that one hand the government was claiming to bring changes in the province, but on the other hand its officials have taking action against the supporters of changes in the tribal areas.
They demanded the KP chief minister and others officials to order release of Fata Students Organization central president Shaukat Aziz with immediate effect.—APP
