State building in North Korea

SUPREME Leader of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un delivered a fantastic speech at the First Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK on April 12 this year, clarifying the ideals and principles of State building in the DPRK. In his speech President Kim told that the country’s ideas of State building are based on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, which is the integral system of the idea, theory and method of Juche. The Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist ideas of State building contain in a concentrated way the ideas of, and exploits in, State building of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. They also indicate clearly the ways and means for accomplishing the Socialist cause with the State government as a political weapon.
The line of independence represents the country’s consistent and immutable attitude towards State building and activities. Geographically, Korea is sandwiched between big countries and its territory remains divided. The hostile forces are resorting to more vicious schemes in trying to contain, undermine and stifle it. On the other hand, the contradictions and confrontations among great powers in their pursuit of hegemony are worsening on a regional and worldwide scale. Given these special circumstances and the complexity of the present world situation, the country holds that it should build up its own strength from the firm standpoint of independence and seek independent development to defend its sovereignty and dignity to achieve true prosperity. Its strategic position and influence is being raised day by day as it recently achieved the historic cause of developing the two fronts simultaneously and is leading the trend of situation towards peace. These successes are ascribable to its strategic resolution and its great strength.
In his speech Kim Jong Un said that whatever way the wind may blow and whatever challenges and difficulties may lie ahead, their Republic will, in the future, too, make no concession or compromise over the issues concerning the fundamental interests of our State and people. It will resolve everything on the strength of self-reliance and self-development, stepping up the building of a powerful socialist country in their own way and by their own efforts. The government of the DPRK set it as a major policy to apply the people-first principle to the letter in all aspects of State activities and social life. This principle is a political ideal of regarding the masses as masters of the revolution and construction, relying on them and making selfless, devoted efforts for their interests. The govt regards the people as the roots of the Socialist State, its foundation and those responsible for developing it. The ruling Workers’ Party of Korea defined the essence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the guiding ideology of the country, as people-first principle and set it as greatest priority to apply the Juche-oriented view on people, a people-oriented philosophy, in activities of the Party and the State.
Over recent years the country has implemented gigantic construction projects in a bold manner even in the face of the harsh sanctions by the hostile forces. This is not because there is a surplus of funds in the country’s coffers; those projects are aimed at providing the people with better conditions for a happy, cultured life. It is an unshakeable will of the DPRK government to invariably hold fast to the people-first principle as the core of its mainstay, and strive to hasten the bright future of Socialism aspired after by the people by relying on their strength. Next, it is stressed that Party leadership over the overall affairs of the State should be provided in every way possible. Party leadership is regarded as the intrinsic requirement of the building of a Socialist State and lifeline of its activities.
A Socialist Government, not led by a revolutionary party, will lose its intrinsic nature and fall prey to the reactionaries and plotters, with the result that its people cannot escape the pitiful plight of a political orphan. There are many examples of such cases in history. Kim Jong Un underlined that Party leadership over State activities should be consistently based on political guidance, policy-oriented guidance. It is a main principle to put forward revolutionary guiding ideology, scientific strategy, tactics and exercise unified control over the affairs of all sectors and units and give political and polic-oriented guidance over them. Under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, the DPRK will be built more splendidly as an independent powerful State that no one can dare provoke, a people’s State in which the people’s ideals are fully realized and a great State that leads world by giving full scope to its unlimited potential for development.
These are superb words of leader of a struggling nation DPRK. In his eye opening speech the President has strengthened his brave nation. He has assured his fullest concern and cooperation to the nation. Undoubtedly, the committed North Koreans stand firm with their determined leadership. This confidence of leadership and the nation on each other is exemplary. North Korean nation has born hardships of sanctions but never left its steadfastness. Because of determination of North Korean leadership and the nation today American President Donald Trump doesn’t dare to even think of invasion on it. When the leadership takes care of nation as its priority number one the nation responds reciprocally. Pakistani leadership and nation need to learn from leadership and nation of North Korea. Like leadership like nation.
