Deputy Commissioner Dr Asif Tufail on Sunday inaugurated the Stabilization Center at Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital here. On this occasion, he said the main purpose of the center was to provide modern medical,health and nutrition facilities to newborn babies and their mothers under the Integrated Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child Health and Nutrition Programme of the World Health Organization (WHO).
CEO District Health Authority Dr Javaid Warraich and other senior doctors were also present. Under the arrangements of Integrated Reproductive Maternal New Born Child Health and Nutrition Program ‘Stabilization Center’ has been set up at Pediatric Ward of Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani inaugurated the center on Saturday while Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Dr. Nawazish Goraya, MS Dr. Rashid Maqbool, DHO Dr. Asif Shahzad, District Coordinator Program Dr. Abdul Sattar Qureshi, Incharge Pediatric Ward Dr. Asghar Butt, Dr. Bilal Ahmad, other doctors were also present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner appreciated the medical services provided for mother and child. He directed the health department to achieve the targets of nutrition week under Integrated Reproductive Maternal New Born Child Health (IRMNCH) programme.—APP
