Special attention being paid to Karachi development: Murad

Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Wednesday said that special attention was being paid towards the development of Karachi and provincial government was working with World Bank (WB) on a project of $1bn, the amount will also be utilised for the metropolis. He said that terrorists wanted to destroy our education system and the government had been crushing them with strict actions. He stated this while addressing at Iqra University Campus in North Karachi after inaugurating the new campus building, here. “I have imposed education emergency in the province and know about the errors in our education system”, he pointed out. Bureaucracy was widely seen in the field of education in the public sector despite of that no big achievement was seen, he regretted. He said that he had split the education sector in three parts. He also announced to reconstruct the roads of North Karachi. Murad condemned attacks on the Police Training Centre in Quetta and termed it a cowardly act.
