Speakers call for health and safety measures part of curriculum

Islamabad—Speakers at a seminar held here Saturday called for making safety and health measures particularly in roads and buildings’ construction process, as a part of curriculum at school, college and University level for promoting healthy and hazards-free society.
The seminar was arranged by Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP), Rawalpindi-Islamabad Center that was addressed by eminent engineers including Dr. Attaullah Shah (VC City University), Eng. Arjumund A. Shaikh and Eng. Shafiqur Rehman. Dr. Tariqur Rehman, who had been working as senior officer in Risk Management University Alberate, Canada was the key-note speaker who explained the safety measures during road- and-building construction’s process with the help of slides. The seminar was presided over by the Chairman IEP’s Center Hafiz M. Ehsanul Haq Qazi.—INP
