Kingdom’s 87th National Day turns into all representatives’ gathering
The grand reception hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to celebrate its 87th National Day turned into an All Parties Conference rather All Pakistan gathering as one could see representatives from all the big and small political parties, schools of thoughts, religious sections, universities and seminaries making a beeline to congratulate Ambassador Nawaf Said Ahmad Al-Malkiy on the national day of his country. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana, Senators and MNAs, members of the ruling party and the opposition were among the guests of honor.
The guests were served with traditional Arabic Qahwa (green tea) along with dates and national anthems of the two countries were played while one could also see the huge portraits of the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the background. A portrait of President Mamnoon Hussain was also there showing embassy’s regard for the leadership of the brotherly country of Pakistan.
Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Said Ahmad Al-Malkiy in his brief address said Saudi Arabia always valued its ties with brotherly country of Pakistan. While delivering his address in Arabic language he paid tributes to Pakistani people for their love and regard for the Kingdom. Our friendship is not meant for years, rather it travels in generations and Saudi Arabia will continue to cooperate with Pakistan in bilateral trade, social and economic projects and infrastructure sectors uplift.
Saudi Arabia wants a strong Pakistan as its strength and stability guarantees the stability of the region. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are like two bodies but one soul and people of the two countries are entwined in eternal bond of friendship, said he.
Expressing his deep sense of gratitude and extending warm congratulation to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Speaker National Assembly said Pakistan didn’t enjoy the formal bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia. Our association is deeply itched into the minds and hearts of the people of the two countries. We have supported and stood by each other in thick and thin. Pakistan attaches great importance to the integrity, sovereignty and dignity of Saudi Arabia and very much appreciates the country’s role in ensuring peace and prosperity in the world. Service of 2.6 million overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia is a testimony of our regard for the Holy land, he said.
