Karachi—The Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) and the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) Karachi have agreed to collaborate in the realms of research and information technology. An official said on Saturday that the two institutions have entered into an agreement in this regard.
They decided to assist each other in further strengthening teachings programs, improving quality of education at all levels.
A document in this regard was signed by Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Vice Chancellor SMIU and his counterpart Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui. SMIU one of the oldest institutions in South Asia having the special distinction that Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, studied here for about four and a half years from 1887-92.
