The district administration has notified nine sites as temporary cattle markets/sale points in the district for sale and purchase of sacrificial animals.
These points include Model Cattle Market at Chak No 235-RB Neamuana Samundri Road, Bypass Chak No 58-JB Narwala Road, Bypass Chak No 239-RB Satyana Road, Benazair Park near Railway Station Jaranwala, site near Saim Nala Jaranwala Road Khurrianwala, site adjacent to New Vegetable Market (Sabzi Mandi) Faisalabad Road Sammundri, Cattle Market Hockey Ground Canal Road Tandilianwala, Bangla chowk Mamukanjan and Water Works near Sahulat Bazaar Chiniot Road Chak Jhumra.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad made it clear that no fee of any kind would be charged for the entry or sale of the sacrificial animals.
He directed the Livestock Department to establish Veterinary Dispensaries at cattle markets and the cattle owners should be informed about the precautionary measures to save the sacrificial animals from ticks, Congo virus and other diseases.
As Eid-UL-Adha approaching Fast , the trend of purchasing sacrificial animals online has gained momentum all over Pakistan including federal capital , as the practices makes life easier for people who do not have time to make a trip to the market to select their sacrificial animal.
