Sindh Govt. committed to media freedom: Chandio

Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh on Information, Moula Bux Chandio has said that Sindh government is committed to freedom of expression as it firmly believes that democracy and independence of media go hand in hand.
He said media in Pakistan is not only independent but also highly vibrant in shaping public opinion and raising awareness among the masses on various issues.
Chandio was taking to a delegation of Karachi Press Club .
He said the Sindh government is fully cognizant of the security needs of media houses and journalists. It is making all possible efforts to ensure recently for media persons.
He urged media to play positive role and highlight achievements of government and strengthen democracy in the country.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah handed over a cheque of Rs25 million to the President of Karachi Press Club, A.H. Khanzada, in a simple but impressive ceremony at the Chief Minister house. The Karachi Press Club office-bearers presented souvenirs to the Chief Minister Sindh and Moula Bux Chandio on the occasion.
