Sindh Girls Hockey team calls on Commissioner

Karachi—Commissioner Karachi Aijaz Ahmed Khan has said women players should enhance their skills to get recognized on international level.
This, he said, in meeting with delegation of Sindh Girls Hockey Team, which has qualified for national games, according to a statement issued here on Thursday.
The delegation was led by National Bank’s sports head, Awais Asad Khan.
The commissioner appreciated the women players role in improving women players’ status on country level and also felicitated Sindh Girls Hockey team for qualifying in national games.
He said “Your journey has just started and do not keep yourself confined to national level but also make efforts to get yourself recognized on international level as well”.
He assured every possible cooperation and announced a complete kit for the qualifying team as a gift.
He announced that basket ball men and girls hockey tournaments will be organized after Eid ul Azha and said that boundary wall will also be constructed soon around the Aram Bagh basket ball court, so that the women players be benefitted.—APP
