7 special assistants also resign after SHC ruling
Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh on Labour and Human Resources, Saeed Ghani, Advisor on Mines and Mineral Development, Asghar Junejo and Advisor to CM on Information, Maula Bakhsh Chandio tendered their resignations to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday.
The development has come in after Sindh High Court objected to advisors enjoying facilities that of ministers in November 2016.
The high court directed the Government of Sindh Thursday to de-notify Ghani, Chandio and Asghar Junejo. Besides advisors tendering their resignations, seven special assistants of Sindh CM have also resigned.
During a hearing of a contempt of court case on Thursday against the provincial government, bench headed by Chief Justice of SHC, Sajjad Ali Shah demanded of chief law officer to provide de-notifying notifications of advisors as the high court had directed two months ago.
The court has also instructed the government to provide emolument details of Saeed Ghani, Chandio and Soomro that they have received after verdict of the high court for their sacking was given.
It should be mentioned here that the government had de-notified former advisor to CM, Murtaza Wahab a few days ago after his appointment was declared illegal by the high court in November 2016.
Speaking over his resignation, Chandio said it was not possible to continue the job following court ruling.
