Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday demanded formation of parliamentary committee for check and balance on military courts. Chairing a meeting in Lahore, Ch Shujaat supported two-year extension in military courts and said that suggestions have been submitted in Senate.
According to details, leaders from Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) also participated in the meeting to discuss a nine-point agenda. Talking to media, Ch Shujaat said that chaos and dishonesty are at peak in the country. He said relations with Iran are getting blurry whereas Afghanistan has already gone away from Pakistan.
He said he had no talk with former president Asif Ali Zardari regarding electoral reforms whereas he termed Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in Lahore as good step from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).—NNI
