Four ships C.V Newark, C.V MSC Capri, M.V IVS Windsor and M.T Umm Bab carrying containers, coal and LNG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Sunday.
Meanwhile two more ships Al-Kharj and Jumbo Javelin with Containers and Project cargo also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim (PQ) during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at fifty three percent on Sunday where a total of eight ships namely Newark, MSC Capri, TG Poseidon, IVS Windsor, Gaschem Antarctic, YM Miranda, Nordic Gas and Umm Bab are currently occupying berths to load/offfload Containers, Coal, Chemicals, LPG and LNG respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 125,770 tonnes, comprising 89,499 tonnes import cargo and 36,271 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,520 Container (TEUs) 1,611 imports TUEs & 1,909 TUEs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Container vessel Newark sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more Container ship MSC Capri and TG Poseidon are expected to sail on same day.
Four ships, C.V Al-Kharj, C.V Silvana, M.T Erika Schulte and M.V Jumbo Jovelin carrying Containers, Chemicals and Project cargo are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday. While another Containers ship Memphis is due to arrive at PQ on Tuesday.—APP
