Sindh Minister for Women Development Shehla Raza has said that the initiative steps taken by the Karachi Reporters Forum for the welfare of journalists are praiseworthy who are given financial assistance to the needy journalists is commendable. Speaking at the awards ceremony organized by KRF held at local auditorium on Wednesday, the Minister has said that journalists and politicians have always struggled together for the stability of the democracy and freedom of expression in the country. Shahla Raza assured her full support to the Karachi Reporters Forum. Honoring the senior journalists Maqsood Yousafi, Dr. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Afzal Baloch, Khalil Nasir and Zulfiqar Pirzada, she paid rich tributes to them for their outstanding services in the field of journalism. Earlier, President KRF Moinullah Shah addressed the occasion and said that the main purpose of the forum was to recognize senior journalists and newly journalists may be encouraged at every level. Many other welfare institutions will be given to the needy journalists. Addressing the ceremony, President Karachi Press Club Imtiaz Faran also spoke said that KPC was the only press club in the world where the 154, who actively participated and performing their role in the field maximum number of women members.
