Sharmeen Obaid is making a beeline for the Women of the World summit.
The two-time Academy Award champ will speak to Pakistan in the eight yearly Women of the World summit occurring this month at David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City. This will be her fourth time going to this summit.
Sharmeen will be highlighted on April 7 in a session called ‘Pakistan’s Honor’ where she will be met by NBC’s senior investigative reporter, Cynthia McFadden.
Says Sharmeen in regards to her session, “I am bringing stories of ladies who are battling back to the phase in New York. From ladies in the police drive, to ladies administrators and activists! It’s imperative to discuss those ladies who are taking a chance with their lives for others! My critical invitation to take action is that ladies can no longer sit tight for a seat to open up on the basic leadership table. They have to enable themselves.”
Members of the current year’s summit incorporate Hillary Rodham Clinton, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, on-screen character Scarlett Johansson, Game of Thromes star Lena Dunham and Tony grant winning entertainer Sarah Jones.
