Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Thursday shared his memories of past in the 15th convocation of Government College University (GCU) Lahore. Shahbaz Sharif while recalling some fond memories of past said that he himself has been a student in this prestigious institution and an eye-witness of standard education being provided here.
While acknowledging the striking contribution of teacher’s on students life, he said that whatever he has achieved yet is only possible due to the prayers of his parents and dedication of teachers whom he highly regards. He said that these were his teachers who implanted these qualities of self-less services, pieties, feeling the pain of others and taught the ways to serve humanity.
Shahbaz said that he holds great respect for his teachers who take in Shoaib Hashmi, Sajjad Haider (late) but unluckily most of them have departed to eternal world.
Shahbaz, while cherishing some old memories said that he has deep love for every bit of this institution which reminds him of many old memories and still remembers Malik Juice Centre where they used to have orange juices in scorching heat and delayed payments until constant reminders, he laughed.
