Shahbaz pays surprise visit to Allama Iqbal airport

Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif paid surprised visit to the expansion project of the Allama Iqbal International Airport on his way back from Multan. He travelled in common coach without protocol to review the proposed expansion project.
The DG Civil Aviation gave a briefing on the project. The Chief Minister, on the occasion, said the Punjab government has developed greenbelt along the airport with hard work and it has improved beauty of the airport. He said the land of the greenbelt should be used less during the expansion project.
He said option of indoor ground parking should be reviewed. He said beauty of the airport should be kept in mind during the expansion. The chief secretary, commissioner Lahore and other concerning officials were also present. Ends
