Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is the label of Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan. Pakistan is ours and we all have to play our part to make it a resilient and prosperous state by standing united against all external challenges.
He regretted that in the 70 years prolonged journey of our country, avarice of some elements has brought huge damage to country as they have sacrificed the national interest for their vested interests. And the need of hour is to join hands together for the development of our country by overlooking our differences.
He requested all to be unite on the public welfare agenda by keeping aside our self-interest and political differences as future generations won’t forgive us if we continue with same negligence as past. He said that we unfortunately don’t hold pleasant history, infect our reminisces of past always continue to fester however it is the responsibility of distinguished leadership to find positive measures for such issues.
Baluohistan is the biggest province in terms of area so the challenges being faced there are also bigger, he added, undoubtedly this province has faced some inequitableness which has aroused several legitimate and illegitimate complaints nevertheless keeping in view the unfairness of past, the vibrant leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has compensated it by initiating various projects worth of billion rupees there.
Punjab Government has gifted 66 billion rupees from their share for development of Balochistan in NFC Awards which is the best example of brotherhood, sacrifice and love, he shared. The Chief Minister said that students are our precious asset as our future lies in their hands so he advised the students to play their unprecedented part to enhance spirit of brotherhood for the progress and prosperity of their country.
He expressed these views while addressing the delegation of students and teachers of Cadet College Mastung, Balochistan at Model Town, here today. The Chief Minister presented the cadets with laptops and assured that Punjab Government will continue needful cooperation like before. Addressing the students, Shahbaz Sharif said that even though you are our guest but we would like you to cherish home-like feelings and we are heartedly excited to host you.
He said that yesterday we have observed Pakistan day which holds a great history attached to it and observance of this day was meant to pay homage to the sacrifices of our heroes who lost their lives in this journey of independence. He said that we need to evaluate that whether we have attained all the aims for which separate homeland was achieved.
He said that tragedy of East Pakistan is also a painful episode in our history from which we need learn lesson and mend our ways.
