Raiwind—Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said that the people need to foil the attempts of those organising sit-ins and mocked his political rivals by stating that accountability was being demanded by those who themselves were corrupt.
He said this while inaugurating 60-bed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Raiwind, having latest medical equipment.
He directed the hospital authorities that it should be administered in the best manner whilst warning that the hospital shall be handed over to a Non-Governmental Organisation if not managed well enough.
The Chief Minister criticised Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto saying that the nation has not forgotten about the Surrey Palace, adding that Bilawal would be with his father in London or Dubai if cases regarding corruption re-open against him.
Shahbaz Sharif said that some opponents who kept the nation in darkness for 15 years, looted billions of rupees of the nation want to indulge in the politics of protest after Eid. He said that these persons deposited billions of dollars in Swiss Banks. Those who looted hard-earned money of the people are asking for accountability, this is impossible, he added. He said that people still remember the sit-ins of 2014 when the visit of Chinese president was postponed due to these sit-ins in December 2014 and he came to Pakistan in April 2015 and signed agreements of billions of dollars with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said that thousands of megawatt electricity will be generated next year after completion of power projects and darkness will be eliminated in Pakistan.
He said the opponents were afraid that a corruption free culture is being promoted. The Chief Minister said that he personally worked very hard for these projects and visited China a number of times.
He said that people will not allow these elements to succeed in their nefarious designs. The Chief Minister said he is giving the message to the people that future of Pakistan is bright and journey to progress and prosperity is continuing speedily.
He appealed to the people to become united for saving Pakistan and only due to the force of unity; all conspiracies of opponents will be foiled. Shahbaz Sharif said that those demanding resignation from Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should first peep into their conscience and first hold their own accountability.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan should not tell a lie that Maryam Nawaz was there, he should speak the truth as he has been ashamed by telling a lie against a daughter and it does not behove him.
