Shah, Javaid grieved over Lahore blast

Srinagar—JKLF (H) Chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir and Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah Tuesday condemned the terror attack at Gulshan Iqbal Park in Lahore Pakistan. Javaid Ahmad Mir in his statement issued Tuesday said it was a grim reminder of how “terrorists are trying to destabilise the region by shedding the blood of innocents”.
“It is a cowardly act of brutality that has claimed lives of the innocents. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their loved ones in today’s cowardly terror attack in Gulshan Iqbal Park Lahore Pakistan. I share their pain and offer my deepest condolences,” Mir said.
“We stand united with the people and government of Pakistan in their resolve to fight the menace of terrorism and condemn use of violence under any circumstance,” he said, adding the atrocity of such proportion should outrage the feelings of every human being.
Javaid Mir said today’s incident, the attack on a school in Peshawar, Pakistan in December 2014 and the recent attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda were grim reminders of how the terrorists were trying to destabilise the region.
Shabir Ahmad Shah while expressing grief over the brutal killing of civilians mostly women and children in a bomb blast termed the attack as “extreme of brutality and barbarism, which is extremely condemnable”.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir express their condolence and sympathy with the families whose kith and kin were martyred in the attack. Who better than Kashmiris can understand the plight of the affected families?” he said.
Terming the attack as a crime and challenge to humanity, Shah said such perpetrators “can in no way be called as humans” and such acts are unacceptable. He said, “Pakistan government must rise to crush the terrorism that has plagued the country and teach a befitting lesson to the enemies.”
Shah expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured persons.—RK
