Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s Urs begins

Hyderabad—The 273rd three days annual urs celebrations of great Sufi Saint and Poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai began Tuesday with traditional enthusiastic colours of Mysticism at Bhitshah Town district Matiari.
Sindh minister for local government, Jam Khan Shoro, along with Sindh minister for culture and tourism, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, and Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Auqaf Ghulam Shah Jilani officially inaugurated three days urs celebrations by laying floral wreath and Chaddar at the Mazar of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
Talking to media persons after inauguration, Sindh Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro said that terrorism, extremism and other negative thoughts can be rooted out by following the message of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
He said that struggle of Pakistan Peoples Party against terrorism was on the record as numbers of party leaders and workers even Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed their lives during acts of terrorism but the party always fought against it.
Responding to a question regarding issues of local government institutions, the minister said that due to creation of new municipal committees, town committees and union councils, there were some complications in distribution of funds for which the government was preparing a comprehensive formula in order to avert any bottleneck in future.
About Bhitshah Beautification Plan, the minister replied that development works launched by the incumbent government all over the province were being completed on priority basis and soon the beautification of the town would be completed.
About establishment of Sufi University in Bhitshah, the minister said that objective of the university was to initiate research and spread the messages of Sufis throughout the world. The issues being faced by the university would be resolved by approaching the higher authorities, he assured.
Sindh minister for culture and tourism, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, while talking to media persons said that the culture department has introduced new programmes during three day annual urs celebrations which included a stage drama titled €œGul Chhino Garnar Jo€.—APP
