Srinagar—The Secretary General of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has decided to donate his eyes after his death, saying he is taking such a step for those whose eyesight was snatched by the PDP’s ‘vision’.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is languishing in Raj Bagh police station for last four months, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said, “It is my deep desire that my eyes be donated to any of those who lost their eyes during the ongoing Intifada. Let my eyes help anyone see the world again. Let’s make the eye donation a tradition.”
The APHC Secretary General lamented that thousands of people got maimed due to pellets, hundreds lost their eyesight and dozens completely blinded during the ongoing anti-India uprising. “We have to explore options for these victims so that they resume their normal life,” he said.
Shabbir Shah appealed the doctors, youths, and medical experts to launch a campaign to start an eye bank in the territory. “We can take such step and donate our eyes for our children the same way some generous people donate their organs like kidney to the needy people,” he added.
He also hailed the pro-freedom spirit and steadfastness of the people of Chenab Valley, Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Banihal, Jammu, Kargil and other regions of the territory, saying “we are a single body”.
He asked the collaborators of New Delhi in occupied Kashmir to realise that their position is no more than puppets and servants who don’t even have a say in any of the affairs which are directly run by New Delhi and Nagpur.—KMS
