All perpetrators of the 2014 Army Public School (APS) attack, including masterminds and those who executed the terrorist activity seven years ago, have been killed, sentenced to death and necessary action has been taken against them.
All twelve terrorists involved in the attack were apprehended by the security forces out of which six main terrorists were tried by the military courts and were handed over death sentences, The Express Tribune learnt on Wednesday.
Five of them were executed while one terrorist filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Six terrorists including Atiqur Rehman alias Usman, Kifayatullah alias Kaif Qari, Sabeel alias Yahya Afridi, Mujeebur Rehman alias Ali and Maulvi Abdul Salam Commander were arrested from Pakistan while other six were arrested in Afghanistan.
According to the details of the incident, Mullah Fazlullah was the mastermind of the terrorist act and this heinous incident involved Swat, Tariq Gaidar and Tawheed Wal Jihad subgroups of TTP.
Planning of the attack took place at “Shinwari centre” along the Pak-Afghan border. Preparations started under the leadership of Aurangzeb alias Omar Khalifa alias Narai (Amir of Tariq Gaddar Group) whereas Commander Asif alias Haji Kamran was made in-charge of the operation.Under the supervision of Asif, four meetings were held at Bara Center to complete the project.

The Judicial Commission concluded that NACTA had issued a generic threat alert about terrorists seeking to target army families and academic institutions as result of Zarb e Azb and Khyber 1 Operations.
