Lake View Park is such a place where flowers bloom and instantly catch the visitors’ attention. Petunia in the spring season enhances the beauty of the park and its visitors, giving them an exclusive feel.
Lake View Park is one of the most-visited sites of Islamabad, where people come to take some relief and spend unforgivable moments with their families.
Petunia is not only a beautiful flower which gives off the most exclusive scent but also is a joy to look at. The gardeners have to choose an area which boasts of full sun rays and has fertile soil. A gardener should plant Petunia according to climate requirement and water it abundantly. The soil has to contain the right nutrients as well. While taking to Pakistan Observer, an official of the Department of Environment about Flowering Lake View Park said they planted Petunia in seven colours at the entrance of the Lake View Park and on the walking track as well.
“These are red, purple, yellow and others. We have brought red soil from Kuri Sheher which suits Petunia and keeps it in proper condition.
The nutrients not only keep the flowers healthy but also allow them to develop and maintain their colour as well, he said. They need to be watered twice a day, he added. The land for planting Petunia garden should be carefully evaluated, he said. He further said that ideal period for Petunia plantation is from October to May.
It’s a different flower of the season and we have 3 supervisors, 4 sweepers and 79 gardeners to plant, water and look after Petunia. A close supervision is required as many visitors break them up and show carelessness while walking, he further said. “We plant them for the visitors and they are delighted to see the magnificent flower,” he said.
