‘Settlement of Kashmir dispute vital for peace in South Asia’

In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Ittehadul Muslmeen President, Masroor Abbas Ansari have called for settlement of the Kashmir dispute through implementation of UN resolutions.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza while interacting with people during his visit to Kulgam district said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute was imperative for peace in South Asia.
He added that unsettled Kashmir issue was the main a stumbling block in development and prosperity in India and Pakistan. He said that Jammu and Kashmir was a political and historical issue, which could not be suppressed through military might. Masroor Abbas Ansari in a statement issued in Srinagar called for holding tripartite talks on Kashmir to find an amicable solution to the dispute. He pointed out the people in South Asia were at powders’ keg due to unresolved Kashmir dispute.—KMS
