Senior broadcaster Anwar Saeed’s book launched

Karac —A book authored by senior broadcaster and former Controller of News of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), Anwar Saeed Siddiqui, was launched at the Karachi Press Club (KPC).
The launching ceremony of the book titled ‘30 years with Radio Pakistan’ was organized under the auspices of the Literary Committee of the KPC. A former Director News of PBC Islamabad, Haroon Abbasi, presided over the event.
Secretary of KPC, A.H. Khanzada, incharge of the KPC Literary Committee, Zaibe Azhar Hussain, senior journalists Saud Sahir and Maqsood Yousfi, Mahmood Alam, Ata Muhammad Tabassum while expressing their views praised the style of writing and the quality of content of the book.
They said that those connected with media especially the students of mass communication can fully benefit from this book in which Anwar Saeed has vividly expressed his experiences as well as news coverage .
It was also recommended that the libraries of the academic institutions especially the schools imparting journalism education should obtain the copies of the book for the benefit of the faculty members as well as the students.
The author before joining Radio Pakistan, had also served in a number of newspapers during his careers spanning over several decades.
The Director General of Press Information Department (PID), Syed Sikandar Shah, acting Station Director of PBC Karachi Station, Noorullah Bughio and Bureau Chief of Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Karachi, Pervez Aslam, also attended the launching ceremony.
