Seminar on voter’s education held

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Student Affair Department organized a seminar on “Voters education” with the collaboration of Election commission of Pakistan here at on Monday.
Guest speaker of the seminar was Muhammad Nadeem Zubair, Regional Election Commissioner. Aim of the seminar was to create awareness among students (voters) to highlight the importance of vote, said a press release issued here.
While addressing the audience, Muhammad Nadeem Zubair , regional election commissioner, Rawalpindi said that in order to make the election system successful in Pakistan, voters must be aware of the importance and value of their votes adding it would enable the voters to choose a correct candidate and to make him accountable. He also advised the students to participate in election process in a large majority so that a representative and responsible government could be elected. Muhammad Nadeem Zubair answered the students’ questions regarding voting problems and hurdles and motivates them to vote for the upcoming elections. At the end of the seminar Humaiyun Iqbal additional registrar of Fatima Jinnah Women University presented the university souvenir to the guest speaker as a vote of thanks.—APP
