The Consul General of Japan in Karachi Toshikazu Isomura, here on Thursday said that education and strong economy are the two essential ingredients for progress of any nation.
These views he expressed while addressing a seminar on “Japan Education System and Scholarship Information” held at Abdul Haq Campus of Federal Urdu University, said a statement. The seminar was organized by International Department of the varsity in connection with 65th anniversary of Japan-Pakistan diplomatic ties with the cooperation of Japan Consulate and Japan-Pakistan Intellectual Forum.
The Consul General said that after 1945 Japan in large scale had introduced reforms in their education system as a result today the literacy ratio in Japan is 100 percent. He further said that 150 years ago Japan was considered as backward country compared to Europe, but today Japan stands in the ranks of developed countries because of education and strong economy.—APP
