Sehrai pays tributes to martyred youth

Srinagar

Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations.
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri youth had centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the international level. He said that India’s intransigence was the main impediment in peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute. He said that India had never expressed its willingness to resolve the dispute in its historic and international perspective.
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said that the Indian rulers had been trying to suppress through military might the people of Kashmir who were struggling for securing their right to self-determination for past over 70 years. He said that the Kashmiri people especially the youth were rendering their lives for the Kashmir cause and their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the arrest of party activist, Gulzar Ahmed Lone, and said that occupied Kashmir had been converted into a police state. It said Gulzar Ahmed Lone is a political worker and is performing his activities politically but police have arrested him under fake allegations to please their masters in New Delhi.—KMS
