Lahore—SEED Ventures and Tech Valley, Abbottabad, have partnered to work together to develop the entrepreneurial landscape in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through structured programs, products and services. The two entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch initiatives in various parts of KP starting May with strategic and Senior Management teams from both ends to meet again in Abbottabad to launch projects for the first phase. This has been done with the vision of large-scale programs that have been developed to be implemented in the near future.
On this occasion, SEED Ventures Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder Faraz Khan, a UK based Pakistani social entrepreneur and investor, commented that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a region brimming full of opportunities for the youth, waiting to be discovered to its full potential. He further said that, “Entrepreneurship is an avenue that must be explored as a career path as it has the capacity to pave ways for financial independence, work satisfaction at a personal level, while also contributing to the economy of the province, and in turn, the country.
CEO & Founder Tech Valley, Umar Farooq, who was in Karachi for the MoU signing ceremony, said that this collaboration will benefit the whole of KP region in terms of entrepreneurial development, and employment generation. Our aim is to bridge the gap between academia, industry and the public sector. This partnership will strengthen our goal and embark us upon a journey of innovation and sustainable development.
Director & Co-Founder SEED Ventures Khusro Ansari stressed upon the need for collective efforts from all sectors to realize the projects that cater to all segments of the society, from the grassroots to the students. He said that enterprise and social enterprise ecosystem development in KP will open doors of opportunities across geographical boundaries, and will bridge the gaps between people, changing their lives as well as creating a positive impact on the economy.
