Lahore—SEED Ventures recently invested in another startup-AeroSync, and is working to launch a series of innovative entrepreneurial products for grass root entrepreneurs (GREs). These products will provide sustainable income opportunities to small start-ups, and will help resolve their livelihood and economic challenges. The first product will be launched end May, 2016.
The primary target market for the upcoming product is street vendors. This product will bring innovation to their current method of business operations and will also help create avenues that lead to financial inclusion of underserved populations by easing their access to micro financing and micro credit that will eventually help them scale up their existing setups. Extensive research went into the development of these products so they are able to specifically address the business needs of the GRE population. Talking about this investment, Faraz Khan, SEED CEO and Co-founder said, “Enterprise Development is SEED’s core mandate, and we have been aggressively following this mandate through entrepreneurial education and training, but the buck does not stop there. It is important to have tangible products for the masses and specifically the GREs that would effectively lead to enterprise creation and growth in their segment.
