Security beefed up for Eid-e-Milad

Shikarpur Police on the directives of SSP Umar Tufail has finalised security measures for Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) to be celebrated here on Friday. According to police spokesperson that more than 700 Police personnel have been deployed at the main procession routes and intensified security at Masajids, Imambarghas, Mazars and Madarsas in Shikarpur.
Besides, CCTV cameras have been installed along procession routes and at walkthrough gates of the place of congregations while control room has been established at Police Headquarters to monitor the internal and outer situation during procession. SSP Shikarpur Umar Tufail appealed that all the stakeholders should be on board for promoting inter-faith harmony and cohesion as well as he also urged action would be taken against provocative speeches, pamphlets, wall-chalking and other prohibited material.
On the other hand, heavy Police contingent conducted raids in different areas of Shikarpur against criminals and arrested 10 suspects while during drive against tinted glasses, sirens, hooters, coloured-head lights and fancy number plates have removed in different areas of Shikarpur. During campaign, Police checked 200 vehicles, impounded 40 unregistered Motorcycles.
